Our 1987-97 Ford OBS F-Series and Bronco Hood Strut Kit is designed to be a bolt-on replacement for the OEM Hood Support Springs. This product utilizes a gas strut on each side to support the hood, provides smooth operation and a clean modern look for your truck. Installation is almost entirely bolt-on utilizing pre-existing factory mounting locations.
The kit includes everything you need: Powder coated upper and lower mounting brackets, new hardware and struts.
Minor drilling on the passenger side is required. Please see our YouTube Video and Installation Instructions for more details.

This kit is very complete and well put together. The instructions are clear and the only time I had hangups was due to other issues on a 30 year old truck. Once installed they work flawlessly, no adjusting or fiddling required.
