The OBS Solutions Aluminum Tailgate Panel fits 1987-1997 Ford F-Series Trucks ONLY. If your truck's tailgate did not come with a panel you will need to drill two holes on each end of your tailgate for this panel to work. We supply you with a template to do so. They DO NOT fit Bronco's Flareside beds or 1980-86 F-series trucks.
This product is sold as a raw grained aluminum piece. Due to the manufacturing and handling process, they may have small imperfections. These can be cleaned up and blended by gently sanding with 120gr, 220gr and red scotch-brite. If you choose to leave the panel raw, we highly recommend applying a clear-coat to preserve the finish. We also offer powder coat finished panels.

NOTE: Our Tailgate panel does not mount completely flush to the tailgate. Ford used special tooling and dies to mold the panel to the complicated contour and bends of the tailgate. The gaps in fitment are minimal and hidden by the taillights when the tailgate is shut. Please view and read our detailed instructions and photos prior to installation. With that being said, our panel mounts using factory fasteners and achieves secure adhesion to the tailgate through heavy duty 3M Body Panel Adhesive.

Thought I would be a good fishin buddy and hook the boat up to Clems F150. Unfortunately do to a combination of darkness, rain, and my eagerness to get on the Kokanee I rammed the tongue of the trailer into his tailgate. Rather than replace the whole thing and have to try and match colors I bought him one of these. He was tickled pink and told me I could tongue punch his rig anytime!

Fantastic quality. The piece was packaged very securely so the grain on the raw aluminum was perfect so scratches of any kind. Shipping was very fast as well. I used shark hide metal protectant on it to protect the finish. Ive had really good success with that on an LJ I had with raw aluminum panels on it. Even drove it in Colorado winters and it protected the finish great.

Everything lined up perfectly, install was super easy. As mentioned in the description there is a small gap on the side, but you’d never notice it. The near chrome powdercoat is a close to OEM finish without the maintenance of raw aluminum. Would definitely get it again!
Very easy Install, and looks great. Works way better than the original hood springs.
Replaced the old hood springs with these gas filled struts and let me tell what a difference it is to open and close the hood…pure bliss.
It wasn’t easy to adjust the doors correctly to the new hinges and strikers but was worth the work. Soon I’ll be installing the power amp steps so this was a must.

The block heater is very helpful for the older trucks, and adding the trickle charger was a stroke of genius on the part of OBS solutions and Carrick Customs! The bumper plug mount was easy to install, and it wasn't necessary to remove the front bumper. I recommend other enthusiasts purchase a rivet nut kit (from Harbor Freight or similar) to mount aftermarket accessories into sheet metal. This was my favored method to mount the charger, and it's possible to mount it so that the indicator LED is visible through the front grille when looking from a certain angle. Overall, I feel this kit has improved my ol' truck subtly, but significantly. It's very nice to have the block heater and charger all "nice and neat" instead of messing with dangling cords.
The s&b body mounts are great the make my truck ride so much better even with my bad shocks it rides night and day and the install tool that comes with them is a HUGE help thanks obs souloutions for all your help and always answering any questions i have had
If you have a slightly bent hood don’t use the top bolt on the hood side of the mount it will hit the shock and take your minimum bent hood to a full on unusable hood 😑…
Thought I had to purchase a new door because the tabs were broken off until I found this, super easy to install would definitely recommend
