OBS-HOOD-KIT
Our 1980-97 Ford OBS F-Series and Bronco Hood Strut Kit is designed to be a bolt-on replacement for the OEM Hood Support Springs. This product utilizes a gas strut on each side to support the hood, provides smooth operation and a clean modern look for your truck. Installation is almost entirely bolt-on utilizing pre-existing factory mounting locations.
The kit includes everything you need: Powder coated upper and lower mounting brackets, new hardware and struts.
Minor drilling on the passenger side is required. Please see our YouTube Video and Installation Instructions for more details.

My 3rd set and these are great. Hood opens further than stick springs, it’s smooth to open and close, and I’m not worried about creasing the hood now.

The truck I just bought was missing its hood springs. This is a far better option than tracking down a new set and rolling the dice on if they’d be in good shape. Parts arrived well packed and were shipped quickly. The install was super smooth with the slick little template provided. They attach firmly and open smoothly. Way better than some generic kit with tiny brackets and pop rivets. The guys are killing the game with their innovation and quality!!
Doing a frame up resto on my 96 F350 CC LB 4X4 Diesel. This kit is a great clean upgrade to the OEM hood springs. Install was quick and easy. All mocked up before paint.

Back in June of 94 I was so overwhelmed with stress I decided to cut out and clear my head by going for a drive in my beloved 93 Bronco XLT. The mushy way that rig handled combined with the roads in So Cal meant I had to keep the speeds low and at the time I would have killed to have a suspension system that improved the overall experience. Luckily I was able to pick this kit up after OBS Solutions slashed it's price on it. I took a stab at doing the install myself and aside from some neck pain and struggling to find a set of mechanic gloves that fit I was able to walk away proud of what I did. I did it, all by myself! There was a bit of blood but overall a nice experience. Now this cuts through the canyons like hunting knife through a deers neck! This kit allows me to get away with so much I shouldn't, the guys at OBS Solutions have killed it with this product ;-)
I hook and unhook multiple trailers a day. This is the only clean/hidden camera option for these old trucks! I have a single din radio that plugged right into the camera and the video quality is exactly what I needed. The billet handle feels very nice!
The AMP power step brackets are great! They are expensive but the customer support makes up for that. I tried to contact other manufacturers with questions about their brackets and would receive one reply , if at all, and then completely ghosted. I’m so sick of these companies expecting you to buy their crap just because they designed something and can’t be bothered to follow through with installation help or general questions. It appears to be the norm these days. Not OBS Soulutions. They answered all my questions and even followed up after placing my order.
The were pretty easy to follow along and I had the steps installed and wired up by myself in less than a workweek day. Second time I ordered from yall and will be looking to order again.

I loved the fitment and the new bolts, really helped me out, and they lined up perfectly once I was done! Even got a free air freshener and badass sticker, my truck is white and really loved the black and white sticker!
