These stainless steel Door Handle Repair Plates are designed to reinforce the weak inner door skin found on 1980–1997 Ford F-Series trucks and Broncos. From the factory, the sheet metal behind the door handle is prone to cracking and breaking over time, leaving the handle mechanism loose—or with nothing solid left to mount to.
This repair plate restores strength and provides a solid, reliable mounting surface for your door handle assembly.

Great kit that fixes the notorious door handle weakness on OSB Fords. Easy and straight forward, beginner friendly, the kit even comes with the plastic panel rivets (which you are definitely going to break taking the inner panel off). Basic tools plus a rivet gun are all you need. It's Simple!
these plates are stainless steel thick and cut exact. if you need them get them. if not get then anyway because you will. you will not be sorry.
Started out needing the drivers side repaired, and figured if I do one why not do both.
Many times I have welded in reinforcement and so on to fix these and this kit here from experience makes life so simple I will not be using/doing anything else from here forward.
They fit perfectly in the cup on both sides, no gaps, no rivet holes lead to anything important behind. Comes with everything you will need aside from a 1/8” drill bit.
I recommend using a center punch to all of your holes so you don’t walk the bit given some of the holes are on slopes.
This brought my door handle from sloppy to sturdy and firm and I don’t see it getting sloppy again.

Very sturdy , really like the short tucked in design.
I feel they need to add some adhesive where some of the push clips are to shallow of a hole to hold in. But quality of this is awesome
Added these (2”) to my truck along with the superduty leaf spring shackles to level my truck to match the RSK kit in the front. Leveled it out nicely. With the boomerang shackles, shackle flip kit and superduty springs it lifted the rear of the truck about 2.5inches total.

The bracket i needed for my 1996 EB bronco arrived pretty quick. It was very well made but for the price i expected it to be a direct fit. i had trouble getting the holes to line up and ultimately had to loosely thread in the top bolts then beat the bracket into place in order to get it to line up all the way. It went on with some physical persuasion and i expect it to hold up so really no complaints. i just wish i looked a little harder before i ordered the driver side pivot arm bracket as well. hopefully i can return that.
these are as good as it gets. witness marked old hinges and new ones fell just right minor tweaking. smooth and the new bolts do make thing easy to get socket or wrench on. thanks again OBS SOLUTIONS.
